Living through five at her tier range isn't easy either. Napoli is good fir a couple of torp hits per game, five is a lot. You pretty much need to get the perfect situation where you can smoke-stealth in close, dump one side then dump the other and get a high hit percentage from both. Napoli can be doable but she really doesn't have enough tubes to get the hits reliably and they are fairly easy to dodge. Agir and Sigfried don't really have enough tubes to be reliable and even with their high durability, they'll struggle to live through it. Higher tier German cruisers like Hindy have the tubes to guarantee the hits but will usually either get a Flesh Wound award or be so damaged they die soon after. You can dump one side into a target at close range, pass him, then dump the other at close range. She doesn't have a huge number of torps, but the angles are very good to the rear. ![]() She has a bit more range, a heal, and is tough enough on her tier to survive at close ranges needed to get that many hits. I don't recommend the Germans other than possibly Graf Spee. ![]() Also, unless you get lucky and catch something else vulnerable, five hits pretty much requires you to be hitting a battleship. You need a combo of ability to survive either through stealth or range AND a big enough battery of torps with good enough launch angles to not get you killed, and not many have that. There aren't a huge number of cruisers that do well with this mission. She has a bug enough torpedo battery and her smoke + heal gives her a decent chance at surviving it. Yoshino has good arcs but terrible detection. ![]() Bullets loose speed and/or break up very quickly after hitting water, thats why battleship armor quickly tapered down once under the waterline. ![]() And please stop watching Saving Private Ryan. She works best in a low-DD game because DDs can spot the torps and give the enemy BBs time to dodge.Ītago is good because she has a heal and is one of the few IJN CAs with good torpedo arcs. The Bogue and Cleveland classes had a drought of about 7,5-8 meters, the Casablanca and Essex classes about 9, Iowa class 11 meters. The fact they are deep water toeps makes them hard to spot. She also has good torpedo arcs and a reload booster so she can throw out a lot of torps in a short span. Irian has a buffer between her detection and her long torp range. I use Irian or Atago for missions like that.
